My mother-in-law, who lives in the mountains, requested an extremely long scarf. This one is five and a half feet in length. That's taller than me!
I used the same yarn as Susanne's scarf: Lion Brand Yarn's Homespun Fashion Yarn in "Shaker" color. I used a size K/10 1/2/6.50 mm hook. This was done in a single crochet rib stitch lengthwise with a single crochet border. The end result is a very sturdy scarf that still has a cozy feel with the style of yarn chosen. I really enjoy this yarn because it is very forgiving for a beginner so that mistakes and tension inconsistencies are not very noticeable. This was about a 12 hour project.

Go ahead and tell me what you think, but in the words of the great Wil Wheaton, "Don't be a dick."
