Rebellion

What is it about our parents that gets us going in the opposite direction? I'm a grown up now and just as grown up as my folks were when they were my age. There is still something though, that lingering adolescent angst that makes me step back and ask, "Who do they think they are with that advice and wisdom?" I think one thing that bothers me, is that I know I'm moving closer to where they are in the ways of wisdom and advice and I know that they were/are right most of the time. I also know that as time moves on, I'm the one who will be rebelled against and I fear that time.
